What is DMP?

Under the Debt Management Program (DMP), we work together with you to develop personalised debt repayment plans and consult with your credit providers to structure a manageable scheme for you. The program will help you to repay your debts and regain financial control. 

What are the facilities that can be restructured or rescheduled via AKPK’s DMP?

Facilities granted to individual by the following credit providers are eligible to be considered under the DMP:                       

(i)    Commercial Banks                                                                                                 

(ii)   Islamic Banks                                                                                           

(iii)  Life Insurers                                                                                                          

(iv)  Takaful Operators

(v)    Development Financia Institutions                                                       

(vi)   Credit/Chard Card Issuers                                                                   

(vii)  Malaysia Building Society Berhad (MBSB)                                         

(viii) Koperasi Bank Persatuan                                                          

However, additional requirements only apply on case to case basis for secured loans (such as housing loan and hire-purchase) to be eligible for the DMP while only selected loans currently payable via deduction through Biro Angkasa is eligible to be considered under the DMP.

How do I schedule for an appointment?

Kindly complete your DMP enrolment in Customer portal.

What are the documents required?

  • Latest CCRIS Report from Bank Negara Malaysia
  • Latest loan statements for all facilities.
  • Latest salary slip if employed
  • If self-employed, please provide the proof of your income such as statutory declaration
  • Latest EPF statement 
  • Saving/current  account details 
  • Email address
  • Legal documents (if any)

Can I travel overseas once I've enrolled for DMP?

Yes. AKPK does not prevent customer from travelling overseas.

AKPK provides 3 types of services

Are AKPK services free? Are there any 3rd party Agents assigned by AKPK?

Our services are provided Free of Charge to the general public. We do not appoint any 3rd Party Agents to recruit customers.

Does AKPK provide new loan credits?

AKPK does not provide any new credit facilities. You may liaise with Banks/Financial Institutions for further details.

Can AKPK restructure/reschedule loans by licensed money lenders ?

No, we only restructure loans by the participating credit providers as listed in (2) above.

My DMP was terminated. How can I make a request to reactivate my account?

Step 4  Prepare a appeal letter/Supporting Document (softcopy)  Step 5  Attach the document 

Step 6  Follow the email instructions.

My DMP was terminated more than 6 month. I am in a deep financial trouble now. Can I apply DMP again?How to reapply?

I am facing some difficulty to pay my monthly DMP instalment. What should I do?

For your information, customers are required to make prompt DMP payment monthly.  However, should there be any genuine difficulty due to  high medical expenses, lost job or any other valid reasons, please  fix an appoinment (via the Customer porta)  to meet AKPK's Counselor for further advise. Bring along the supporting documents to sunstiantiate the predicaments.

I have settled one/all my facilities. What should I do next?

Step 3  Click “Partial Settlement” button under DMP services

Step 4  Mark (/) the fully settled facilities

Step 5  Scan the release letter (softcopy)  

Step 6  Attach the document 

*Your montly installment will be adjusted  once we received confirmation from your credit provider that the facility is settled.

I need to regulate my DMP payment, who should I contact?

How to settle all/one of my credit facilities?

For full settlement or partial settlement, DMP customers are  required to liase with the respective credit provider for the settlement amount.

My DMP is active but I am still receiving a lot of reminders, finance charges and legal letter from the credit provider. What should I do?

Kindly check your DMP payment record with AKPK, if your payment is promt kindly inform the credit provider on  payment status. For further details you may can fix an appoinment to meet our counsellor.
