Community Based Programmes

Community based programmes serve as avenues for reaching out to those “not in the education, employment or training” sector. Across the nation, we are partners with a broad constituency of community-based organisations and associations to draw attention to the need for financial education and programmes designed to support it.

We are working with Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia (JAKIM) on implementing various financial awareness programmes. Some of the programmes that were agreed upon are: (1) implementing a PFM module into the compulsory pre-marriage courses,  and (2) introducing sermons before Friday prayers on different topics centred on PFM and its relation to Islamic teachings.

We have been reaching out to community and religious centres, consumer associations and NGOs, and work through the existing networks of training, education, outreach and awareness ministries.
