AKPK appoints Mahani director

KUALA LUMPUR: The Credit Counselling and Debt Management Agency (AKPK), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bank Negara, has appointed Datin Mahani Tan Abdullah as director effective January 2013.

 

She is currently the director-general of the Public Complaints Bureau in the Prime Minister’s Department.

 

“She brings to AKPK her extensive consumer protection experience gained in her previous role as the deputy secretary-general (consumerism and management) of the Domestic Affairs, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry,” AKPK said in a statement.

 

Mahani holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in history/international relations from Universiti Malaya. — Bernama
