KUALA LUMPUR — Zul Aswat Hamdan will be able to fulfil his wish of attending the World Cup in Brazil after he emerged victorious in the Visa Malaysia Financial Football competition at Grand Hyatt yesterday.
The 36-year-old software developer from Nilai, Negri Sembilan won the grand prize after coming out on top over three rounds of financial literacy quizzes.
“My wife and I can’t wait to take a dip at Copacabana Beach,” Zul said.
In partnership with AKPK (Malaysia’s Credit Counselling and Debt Management Agency) and seven commercial banks, Visa Financial Football is a football-themed online game created by Visa to teach money management skills to the public.
The finalists were the top 10 players on the leaderboard at the end of the fiveweek campaign. Visa Country Manager Ng Kong Boon announced the competition will return for a third edition next year.
